In Ms. Nolan's 2nd grade class, students are currently actively engaged in a hands-on exploration of the pumpkin life cycle. They are observing the fascinating process of pumpkin decay to gain a deeper understanding, all in the hope of growing new pumpkins. As they document the changes in decaying pumpkins over time, the class is learning about the vital role of decay in returning nutrients to the soil, crucial for nurturing new pumpkin plants. This current, experiential learning approach is bound to leave a profound and lasting impression on these young minds, cultivating a lifelong passion for science and nature.
