London City Schools is pleased to announce that Trey Solon has been selected as the next principal of London Middle School.
A familiar face to students, staff, and families, Solon has served as a social studies teacher at London Middle School since 2017. During his time in the district, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to student success and school leadership through roles including Social Studies Department Head, Seventh Grade Team Lead, Building Leadership Team member, Career Readiness Advisory Committee member, and Vice President of the London Education Association.
Most recently, Solon completed his administrative internship, where he led a schoolwide initiative centered around The Coffee Bean by Jon Gordon and Damon West. Through the project, he secured community partnerships to provide books for students, coordinated staff implementation, and helped bring author Damon West to London to speak with students and community members. Solon believes education extends beyond academics and is committed to fostering a positive school culture focused on relationships, character development, and student growth.
"I am humbled and honored to have the opportunity to serve as the next principal of London Middle School," said Solon. "I want to thank everyone who reached out during this process and offered their encouragement and support. London is a special community, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside our students, staff, families, and community members."
Solon will assume his new role beginning with the 2026-2027 school year and will spend the summer working alongside district and building leaders to ensure a smooth transition.
