Students from the London High School Physics class, led by teacher Eli DeTemple, were invited to design and build small cars to race down a ramp. Participants experimented with different variables, such as adding weight and changing wheels, to see how these adjustments impacted speed and performance.
The exhibit highlighted both the students’ understanding of physics concepts and their ability to share that knowledge with others. By guiding younger students and families through the activity, the high school physicists created a fun, interactive learning experience that connected classroom lessons to real-world applications, reflecting the district’s commitment to meaningful, student-centered learning.
