Governor's Show

The Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition (OGYAE) has selected five pieces of work by LHS students to showcase in the state's youth art competition. This remarkable achievement highlights the incredible talent and dedication of these young artists who will be recognized alongside other top artists from across Ohio.

The OGYAE offers students from across Ohio the opportunity to step into competition, raise their art abilities, their confidence, and to reach personal goals and challenges. A program of the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education, in partnership with the Ohio Governor's Office, Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, and the Ohio Arts Council, sponsors have also been secured to offer scholarships for students to continue a post-secondary arts education.

The following five students have earned their place in this competitive exhibition:

  • Gracie Robinson

  • Tristi Raub

  • Taylor Burton

  • Sophia Runyon

  • Sara Burke

The work of these students demonstrates an ability to work with varied mediums. The mediums chosen include 2 Ceramic pieces, 2 Sculptures, and 1 Drawing. Tristi Raub has achieved an additional recognition with a different piece selected for the CAMEO Show, a digital exhibition displayed for the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.

The Awards Ceremony and Reception for these students will be on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at noon at the Verne Riffe Center for Government and the Arts, Davidson Theatre, Columbus. The Top 300 Exhibition will be displayed at the James A. Rhodes State Office Tower, Downtown Columbus, April 13 - May 15.
