The London City School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of High School Principal. Candidates must possess, or be eligible for, Ohio Department of Education licensure appropriate for the position and demonstrate a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success.

Earlier this month, Mr. Rismiller was approved by the Northwestern Local School District as its next Superintendent of Schools. He has served the London City School District with distinction for the past three years. Mr. Rismiller is the third consecutive London High School Principal to transition to a District Superintendent position.

Successful applicants will demonstrate a strong understanding of the academic, social, and operational dynamics unique to the high school setting. Candidates should possess knowledge of effective instructional practices, Ohio graduation requirements, and state accountability systems. Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills are essential, including the ability to use student data systems to support data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community, while maintaining the confidence to make thoughtful and sometimes difficult decisions in the best interest of students. The next principal should be visible and engaged in the life of the school, maintaining a consistent presence during the school day and at extracurricular events while fostering a positive, student-centered school culture.

Interested applicants should apply as soon as possible, via https://www.applitrack.com/londoncitysd/onlineapp/.

Nominations of qualified candidates may be submitted to Dr. Lou Kramer, Superintendent, via email at lou.kramer@london.k12.oh.us.

The position will remain open until filled.
