London Elementary School students recently celebrated the importance of showing up every day with an exciting attendance reward event in partnership with the Columbus Crew and the Stay in the Game! Attendance Network.
Students who demonstrated good or improved attendance were selected to take part in special activities with Crew Cat, the Columbus Crew mascot. The celebration included a dance off, a penalty kick shootout, and plenty of laughter as teachers joined in on the fun, showing students that attendance is a team effort.
Adding to the excitement, Columbus Crew legend Frankie Hejduk made a special appearance to cheer on students, encourage school spirit, and reinforce the message that being present every day matters both in school and in life.
The event was a memorable way to recognize students’ efforts, celebrate positive habits, and remind everyone that when it comes to attendance, London Elementary is staying in the game.
