First-grade students at LES enjoyed a festive and meaningful celebration during Gingerbread Day, an event that brought learning and families together. Families of first-grade students were invited to school to work alongside their children to construct gingerbread houses using icing, gumdrops, and all of the colorful trimmings.
Beyond the holiday fun, Gingerbread Day supported STEAM learning as students explored design, problem-solving, and creativity through hands-on construction.
