Football: Raiders Battle in the Regional Final — Friday, Nov. 21
Regional Championship – Fairborn, Ohio
On a rainy Friday night in Fairborn, the London Red Raiders fought through adversity but ultimately fell to Tippecanoe, 33–16, ending a remarkable 12–1 season.
The game began with early drama when London fumbled the opening kickoff on their own 30. The defense responded immediately, holding Tippecanoe to a field-goal attempt and blocking the kick to keep the game scoreless. After several strong defensive stands, Tippecanoe struck first with a 50-yard touchdown pass on 3rd down, giving them a 7–0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
London answered in the second. A perfectly executed fake punt from their own 30-yard line sparked a drive that ended with a Bryston Toronto rushing touchdown. The extra point clanged off the upright, leaving London trailing 7–6 at the half.
The third quarter turned into a defensive slugfest. London’s front seven delivered several key stops, and the offense capitalized when Eli Noble drilled a 38-yard field goal, giving London a 9–7 lead heading into the fourth.
Early in the final quarter, Toronto punched in his second touchdown of the night as London extended the advantage. But Tippecanoe responded with a burst of momentum, stringing together multiple scoring drives that swung the game in their favor.
Despite the loss, the Red Raiders displayed the heart and toughness that defined their season. They finish the season with a strong 12–1 record, earning widespread respect across the region as they reach back-to-back regional finals.
