The London Rotary Club is proud to recognize Gael Juarez Perez, an exceptional senior at London High School, as the November Student of the Month. Gael exemplifies academic excellence, strong leadership, and outstanding character, qualities that make him a standout choice for this prestigious honor.
A dedicated and high-achieving student, Gael boasts an impressive 4.23 GPA and ranks 4th in his class. His passion for learning, especially in healthcare and science, sets him apart. He has been a consistent presence on the merit honor roll and is a standout in band, theater, and at Tolles Career Center.
Gael has been an active member of London High School and Tolles Career Center. In addition to his presence on the Merit Honor Roll, Gael has been involved with Marching Band: for five years (this year as a field commander), Theater for four years, Quick Recall for four years, Diversity Club for four years, HOSA Officer for one year (Sergeant of Arms), an ongoing Internship at London Health & Rehab, and an ongoing Internship with Memorial Hospital.
When asked to reflect on an educator who has significantly influenced him, Gael named his Quick Recall Coach, Mr. Tim Coudret. Gael shared:
“I have known Coudret ever since my 8th grade year, and have known him through Quick Recall which has helped me stay curious in a field where constant learning and growth are necessary. While I have never had him as a teacher, I have looked up to him for the way he is able to connect with people quickly in a casual, yet professional, manner. This method of communication has helped me quickly establish relationships professionally, not just with coworkers, but also with patients.”
Mr. Coudret, in turn, offered glowing praise for Gael:
"Gael is simply an outstanding student and member of the school community. He is heavily involved in multiple prominent extracurricular activities that require significant time involvement. Despite this, Gael continues to excel in and out of the classroom. Additionally, Gael is a genuinely good person who demonstrates the selfless qualities encouraged and promoted by the Rotary Club. Gael is an empathetic leader who will enhance any organization that is affiliated with him. It has been my pleasure to work with Gael over the last four years, and I look forward to the great things he will do in the future."
After graduation, Gael plans to attend a 4-year university, where he will focus on earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and become a Registered Nurse. He is the son of Alejandrina Juarez Perez and Manuel Ruiz of London.
