Nearly 100 sophomores from London High School recently attended the Skilled Trades Fair, an event designed to introduce students to a wide range of career pathways and connect them with industry professionals. Throughout the day, students explored opportunities in fields such as healthcare, construction, and public service while learning about the education, training, and certifications needed to succeed in each area. The experience allowed students to ask questions, participate in demonstrations, and gain a deeper understanding of the many rewarding careers available in the skilled trades.
Students shared very positive feedback about the event, noting how it opened their eyes to career options they hadn’t previously considered. Many appreciated the chance to speak directly with employers and see how the skills they’re learning in school connect to real-world applications. London High School continues to emphasize career readiness and hands-on learning experiences, helping students make informed decisions about their futures through events like the Skilled Trades Fair.
