🏈 Football: Dominant Performances Across the Board
The Varsity Football team had a statement win Friday night, defeating Bellefontaine 48–0 as the Red Raiders improved to a perfect 7-0 on the season. Kyler Russell opened the scoring with a punt return touchdown, followed by rushing touchdowns from Bryston Toronto, Blake Reay, and another from Russell before halftime. In the second half, Toronto added his second score, Dreux Prince found the end zone, and Brennen Grove sealed the game with the final touchdown.
The JV Football team also took care of business on Saturday, earning a strong home win against Bellefontaine.
⚽ Boys Soccer: Finishing the Week with a Win
It was a busy week for the Boys Soccer teams as they celebrated their Senior Night at home.
On Monday, the Varsity squad fought hard but fell short on the road at Fairbanks.
The JV Boys Soccer team also battled away from home but came up just short.
On Wednesday, the Varsity team hosted Ben Logan for Senior Night, honoring Lane Cremeens, Chase Daugherty, Nathan Russell, Brice Tidrick, Kyle Bell, Ethan Martin, Ty White, and Lukah McKenzie. London played tough but lost 0–2.
The JV Boys then hosted Jonathan Alder on Thursday, falling in a close 1–2 match.
The week ended on a high note Saturday when the Varsity Boys earned a 3–2 victory over Miami Trace.
⚽ Girls Soccer: Perseverance and Senior Night Highlights
The Girls Soccer team also celebrated their Senior Night amidst a busy week as they played three matches this week, showing grit despite tough results.
On Monday, London fell to North Union 2–8, with both goals scored by Sydney Powell.
Wednesday was Senior Night, celebrating Hannah Howard and Kyleigh Madaj. London fought hard but fell to Ben Logan 1–9, with the goal scored by Lilly Loher.
On Saturday, the girls faced Miami Trace under challenging conditions with injuries, limited subs, and hot weather, yet continued to play with determination and heart.
🏐 Volleyball: Big Wins Across All Levels
London Volleyball had a fantastic week, both at home and away.
On Tuesday, all three teams swept Urbana—Varsity winning in 4 sets, JV in 3, and Freshman in a tight 2–1 victory (22–25, 26–24, 25–21).
On Thursday, London hosted Kenton Ridge and came out victorious once again. Varsity won a thrilling five-set match, while JV swept 2–0 (25–20, 25–15).
🎾 Girls Tennis: Strong Finishes at Sectionals
The Girls Tennis team wrapped up their season at the Sectional Tournament hosted by Columbus School for Girls.
Singles: Kate Gregonis and Cassidy Zink were defeated in the first round by Wellington.
Shayla Lowe won her first-round match against Pleasant before falling in the second round.
Doubles: Alaina Tate & Sophie Alt and Harper Witt & Kate Johnson both won their first-round matches before being eliminated in round two.
It was a season full of growth and success for the girls' tennis program.
⛳ Boys Golf: Great Season Comes to a Close
The Boys Golf team competed in the Sectional Tournament at Darby Creek, finishing their season with strong individual performances but just short of advancing in the playoffs.
⛳ Girls Golf: Finishing Strong
The Girls Golf team wrapped up their season at Raymond Memorial, playing well but not advancing beyond sectionals.
They’ll now turn their focus toward offseason preparation after a strong year on the course.
🏃 Cross Country: Strong Runs at Mechanicsburg
The Cross Country teams competed at the Mechanicsburg meet on Saturday. Senior Bailey Colestock led the way with a standout time as London runners continued to show improvement and team spirit.
