Consistent with guidance from the Governor and the Ohio Department of Education and with consultation from the Madison County Public Health Department, London City Schools has announced plans to honor graduates in a modified commencement ceremony this year.

The district's graduation plan provides opportunities for much of the traditional commencement program to occur in advance and to be recorded using a professional videographer. This includes the opportunity for students to be presented a diploma, and with a nod to tradition, walk through the arch. On graduation day, students will have the opportunity to once again don their cap and gown as they participate in a vehicle parade around the city before receiving their actual diploma at LHS. The parade will be simulcast on Ready FM with announcements of seniors and messages from staff. A culminating video will be broadcast via the district’s Youtube Channel later that evening.

Although not having a traditional graduation is disappointing for all, the district is extremely proud of its seniors and looks forward to celebrating their accomplishments. More details will be sent to senior students and families beginning May 1st.
