London City Schools is proud to announce the appointment of Marty Ditello as the new Head Varsity Softball Coach for the London Lady Red Raiders, pending formal approval by the Board of Education. Ditello brings a wealth of coaching experience, a proven commitment to student-athletes, and deep ties to the London community.

Ditello most recently served as Head JV Softball Coach and Assistant Varsity Softball Coach at London High School during the Spring 2025 season, where he played a key role in developing and mentoring players across both levels of the program. Ditello has a long history of coaching all ages of athletes, including serving as an Assistant JV Baseball Coach at Central Crossing High School and holding various youth coaching roles. Ditello currently coaches middle school football at London Middle School.

The Lady Red Raiders are coming off an impressive 2025 campaign in which they finished third in the highly competitive Kenton Trail Division of the Central Buckeye Conference. The team posted a 10–6 conference record and went an impressive 17–7 overall record. Given a promising number of returning players, Ditello is looking to build on the momentum of last year’s positive record.

Upon his appointment, Ditello expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity. “It is an honor to be named the head varsity softball coach for the Lady Red Raiders. After serving as head JV coach and assisting with varsity last season, I look forward to building a strong team culture and a winning mindset, as well as helping this program and these student athletes continue to grow. It’s a privilege to lead such an amazing group of Lady Red Raiders and represent our community!”

Ditello will officially begin his new role as Head Varsity Softball Coach as the team prepares for offseason training later this fall.
