Far From Home

London Middle School students took the spotlight at Center Stage, a dynamic drama camp created especially for middle schoolers. The camp offered participants a hands-on theatrical experience, allowing them to explore the many facets of theater beyond acting. Students worked together to perform a short play titled Far From Home, while also taking on key production roles such as stage design, costume planning, and playbill writing. The immersive experience helped students understand the full process of putting on a show, from concept to curtain call.

Far From Home tells a heartwarming story of friendship and teamwork in the context of conservation and saving endangered sea turtles. The camp culminated in a showcase performance, where students proudly presented their own production to friends, family, and staff. As they brought this meaningful tale to life, students not only developed performance skills but also built confidence, creativity, and collaboration. The final performance was met with enthusiastic applause and served as a proud moment for the entire school community. Center Stage proved to be more than just a camp — it was a memorable opportunity for students to grow, express themselves, and shine while exploring important environmental themes.
