London Elementary recently hosted its annual Safety Town program, offering students a fun and educational opportunity to learn essential safety skills. Community partners, including Madison County Health, the American Red Cross, and Madison County EMA, led interactive lessons on topics such as emergency preparedness, personal wellness, and basic first aid. Students also practiced school bus safety and took a guided tour of the London Police Department to better understand how officers help keep the community safe.
Additional highlights included lifeguard-led water safety instruction and a visit from the local fire department, where students explored fire trucks and learned about fire prevention. The week wrapped up with a Safety Town Graduation Celebration, where students proudly received certificates to honor their participation and new safety knowledge.
