The London City School District is proud to announce the appointment of Jacob Cullen as its next Director of Athletics and Student Activities, pending formal approval by the Board of Education.
Cullen currently serves as Assistant Athletic Director at Westerville South High School, Athletic Site Manager at Hilliard Bradley High School, and teaches Social Studies at Blendon Middle School in Westerville City Schools. His diverse experience across athletics and education stood out to the district’s selection committee, which cited his energy, preparation, and broad professional background as key factors in the recommendation.
Beginning his career in 2009, Cullen has served in various roles, including substitute teacher, special education paraprofessional, online instructor, and classroom teacher. These experiences and coaching roles at the middle school and high school levels have equipped him to connect with students of all backgrounds.
“From the beginning of our selection process, Jacob demonstrated a clear vision for our athletic programs and the student-first mentality to accomplish that vision,” said LCS Superintendent Dr. Kramer. “His ability to form meaningful connections with students, staff, and families makes him an exceptional fit for our district.”
Upon his selection, Cullen stated, “The Red Raiders have a long-standing tradition of both academic and athletic excellence, and it is an honor to have been selected for this opportunity. My family and I are very excited about becoming a part of the London community.”
Cullen holds a Master’s Degree in athletic administration from Concordia University and a Bachelor’s Degree in History Education from John Carroll University. He is a registered athletic administrator and is eligible for an alternate administrative license through the Ohio Department of Education.
He will officially begin his role in the Summer of 2025 in preparation for the new school year.
