London High School celebrated its top student-athletes during the 2nd Annual RESPY Award Show, held in the Ray Chadwell Gymnasium. Organized by the Sports Management Class, the event honored athletes' dedication, talent, and performance across 21 award categories. Coaches nominated students, and finalists were selected based on peer voting, creating a student-centered celebration of athletic excellence.
The Sports Management Class, which functions as a hands-on internship program focused on the business of sports, led the planning and execution of the ceremony. Students coordinated all aspects of the event, from logistics to outreach, gaining real-world experience along the way. Local businesses supported the event through sponsorships, with top-tier sponsors receiving the distinction of having awards named in their honor.
This year’s sponsors included Dwyer Bros., Inc., Webster Real Estate, Buckeye Ford, Kronk & Scaggs Insurance, Marla Morland @ The Crace Group e-Merge Real Estate, Dairy Queen, and Red Hot Propane. Their support helped make the event a resounding success and reinforced the strong connection between the school and its community. The RESPYs once again highlighted the school’s commitment to recognizing and celebrating student-athletes who make a difference on and off the field.
