Third-grade students from London City Schools recently visited Franklin Park Conservatory to explore the captivating Blooms & Butterflies exhibit. .A highlight of the visit was the Metamorphosis Lab, where students observed butterflies emerging from their chrysalises—a live demonstration of the life cycle they had been studying in class.
Earlier in the fall, students completed their own butterfly project, raising caterpillars and witnessing their transformation into butterflies before releasing them. This hands-on experience helped deepen their understanding of metamorphosis and the importance of pollinators in our ecosystem. The trip to the conservatory brought their learning to life in a vivid, memorable way, inspiring a deeper appreciation for science and nature.
