Future Ready Day

London City Schools recently celebrated its 2025 Future Ready Day, a district-wide initiative designed to prepare students for future success by exploring college, career, and life pathways. The day began with 3rd and 4th-grade students visiting the High School Career Readiness Center, where they engaged in interactive sessions led by high school students during the High Schoolers in the Hall experience. Activities featured Tolles Firefighting, Broadcast Video, Robotics, and Tolles Culinary, giving younger students an early hands-on look at career and technical pathways.

Middle school students took part in the annual Life Fair, where community members—including representatives from the London Fire Department, London Police Department, local realtors, and other professionals—introduced a wide range of careers. This event gave students the opportunity to explore different professions and begin thinking about their future options in a practical and inspiring way.

The day concluded with the highly anticipated Senior Signing Day, during which graduating seniors officially announced their plans for the future—whether they are enrolling in higher education, enlisting in the military, or entering the workforce. This year’s keynote speaker was Bryce Efaw, a licensed real estate agent and Property & Real Estate Affairs specialist and works as promotional talent for several Columbus, Ohio professional sports teams. His diverse background and passion for growth offered students a unique and motivating perspective on building a fulfilling, multifaceted career.

Future Ready Day 2025 continues to exemplify London City Schools’ commitment to preparing students for life beyond high school. Through exposure to real-world professionals, career-based learning, and peer-led experiences, students gain the inspiration and tools they need to chart a confident path forward.
