Mr. Lightle speaks to LHS English students about STEM

Recently, freshman English classes at LHS had the privilege of hosting Mr. Lightle, a distinguished rescue engineer, thanks to the efforts of Miss. Boggs. Mr. Lightle shared insights from his career, emphasizing the critical role that communication skills play in the fields of science, engineering, and math (STEM). He illustrated through anecdotes how effective written and verbal communication has been crucial to the success of rescue missions and engineering projects.

Mr. Lightle's visit highlighted the importance of developing strong communication skills, showing students that these abilities are indispensable across all disciplines, including STEM. His engaging session not only informed but also inspired the students, bridging the gap between humanities and technical fields and underscoring the interdisciplinary nature of professional success in today's world.
