The Madison County Arts Council recently held its Madison County Young Artist Showcase, which included musical performances as well as results from the Kurt Lattimer Aspiring Artist Competition. London High School Senior Evie Gillian was selected as “Best of Show” for her painting and also earned top honors in the Digital Arts Category. Evie was awarded a $1,500 cash prize for her efforts. Evie’s Senior classmate Harlie Evans also earned top honors in the 3D category for her ceramic project earning her $500. Both students have taken art classes throughout their high school careers and are currently 4th-year art students at LHS. All work entered into the competition, including 10 entries from London High School, will be displayed in City Hall for the month of February.
