Taking advantage of additional Federal funding, the London City School District recently added another important academic support for its Kindergarten through sixth-grade students without adding any additional general fund costs. Former Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Ashley Beery, has accepted a position as an Instructional Coach for the 2022-2023 school year. Mrs. Beery will be responsible for the implementation of the district’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) program. As such, she will help facilitate data meetings that focus on developing and implementing strategies for improving individual student achievement. Outside of facilitating her data meetings, Mrs. Beery will be observing classroom instruction and assisting teachers in implementing best teaching practices.
Mrs. Beery has taught in the London City School District since 2014, most recently in Kindergarten. She holds a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education and a Masters's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She was selected for the position for her ability to work effectively with others and to problem-solve.
