Enrollment Report Image

Dr. Kramer recently presented the district’s annual enrollment report to the Board of Education, showing that overall enrollment remains steady at 2,215 students, a slight decrease from the previous school year. The report highlights continued strength in preschool and elementary enrollment, both of which are expected to remain stable over the next five years. Middle school enrollment is projected to grow significantly as larger classes move from LES to LMS, while high school enrollment is expected to decline modestly during the same period. Overall, districtwide enrollment is forecast to rise by approximately 4.6% over the next five years.

The report identifies several factors contributing to potential growth, including increased housing activity, strong early learning retention, sustained interest from open-enrolled families, and sustained improvement across academic pathways. At the same time, statewide trends, including higher participation in community schools, homeschooling, and voucher programs, continue to limit enrollment. Dr. Kramer recommended expanding academic access for families, strengthening data-sharing partnerships with local governments to support planning for residential growth, enhancing communication about the financial impact of enrollment, and maintaining a flexible staffing model that adjusts to student needs.
