The London Rotary Club is proud to recognize Cameron Carn, an exceptional senior at London High School, as the October Student of the Month. Cameron exemplifies academic excellence, strong leadership, and outstanding character, qualities that make him a standout choice for this prestigious honor.
A dedicated and high-achieving student, Cameron boasts an impressive 4.52 GPA and ranks 3rd in his class. His passion for learning, especially in mathematics and science, sets him apart. He has been a consistent presence on the merit honor roll and is a standout athlete in Cross Country and Track.
Cameron has been an active member of London High School. In addition to his presence on the Merit Honor Roll, Cameron has been involved with Track and Field for 3 years, Cross Country for 3 years, and football for 1 year. Cameron has earned the following academic achievements: High Honor Roll for 3 years, JASON Argonaut, Kiwanis- Top of the 2026 Class, 2-time Academic All-Ohio, Scholar Athlete Award, Clark College Dean’s List 2024-2025, Student of the Month, and has currently earned the Citizenship Seal, College-Ready Seal, and Science Seal. Cameron has also been celebrated through the following athletic honors: 2-time Academic All-Ohio, 2x All-Ohio, 2-time Indoor State Runner-Up 800, Outdoor State Runner-Up 800, 2-time Team Captain in Cross Country, 2-time Team Captain Track, 4-time Team MVP, 2-time State Qualifier Cross Country, 3-time District Champ 800m, 2-time District Runner-Up Cross Country, “Runner of the L” 2025, and 2-time Respy’s Award Winner.
When asked to reflect on an educator who has significantly influenced him, Cameron named his track and cross country coach, Joseph Montoya. Cameron shared:
“He has been my mentor and coach for the past 4 years, and I can attribute a lot of my
success to his relentless support. His attentiveness to my training and health (physical and mental) ensures my success both on and off the track. His guidance has been a huge help towards the next steps in my athletic and academic career.”
Mr. Montoya, in turn, offered glowing praise for Cameron:
“Cameron Carn is an incredible young man whose intellect and thoughtfulness set him apart. He's not afraid to ask the thought-provoking questions that challenge himself to dive into a pursuit of high-level understanding. He has a thirst for knowledge as well as a craving for mastering his own skills. He's also a pretty good runner.“
After graduation, Cameron plans to attend a 4-year university, where he will focus on exercise science, while continuing his running career in cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track. He is the son of Michelle and Russell Carn of London.
