London’s Shoe Sensation turned a routine shopping trip into an extraordinary act of community giving on Sunday, August 3, 2025. The annual Mayor’s Day Sale, championed by Mayor Patrick Closser, brought in a record $1,000 to support the Raider Rack, doubling last year’s donation total.
The Raider Rack provides students across London City Schools with clothing, shoes, and other everyday essentials at no cost. With locations in the elementary, middle, and high schools, teachers can easily help students access what they need. Every dollar raised for the Raider Rack helps keep these shelves stocked, ensuring that no child goes without the basics necessary to thrive in school.
This record-breaking total underscores the strong partnership between local businesses, community members, and the schools. District officials expressed deep appreciation to Shoe Sensation and Mayor Closser for helping to keep the Raider Rack a sustainable and impactful resource for students and families.
