The Ohio Department of Education announced last week that London Elementary School, Middle School, and High School were once again designated as Purple Star Schools. To be designated as a Purple Star School, each school met an established standard for supporting Ohio’s military-connected youth. At LCS, this means that the district established a single point of contact for military families, provides additional resources on our district website, provides in time training to staff in regards to the challenges that military families may encounter, and annually recognizes the contributions of our veterans and active military members. Each district school has carried this designation since 2018 and was reapproved this year.
To celebrate and demonstrate support for our military families, all student and staff members are encouraged to wear purple this Thursday, April 14th. Addition activities are planned in each building throughout the week.
