The London City School District Board of Education has officially appointed Marty Ditello to serve as the newest member of the Board of Education. Ditello steps into the role to fill the unexpired term following the departure of longtime board member Donovan Cooper.
The Board selected Ditello after a thorough review process to find a dedicated leader with a strong commitment to the district’s students, educators, and local community.
"We are excited to welcome Marty to the Board of Education," said Marshall Geib, Board President. "His extensive leadership background, knowledge of educational operations, and clear passion for serving students make him a valuable addition to our team as we continue driving excellence across the district."
Ditello joins the district leadership team with a diverse background in education administration, governance, and athletics. In addition to his new governance role, Ditello brings a strong history of civic engagement and hands-on involvement with London athletics.
“I am honored to join the London City Schools Board of Education and grateful for the opportunity to serve our students, families and staff,” said Ditello. “As a parent, coach and community member, I have seen firsthand the dedication that makes our schools special. I look forward to listening, working collaboratively and drawing on my experience in school board leadership to support thoughtful decisions that put students first.”
Ditello was officially sworn in during the Board meeting on September 8, 2026. Mr. Ditello will serve a partial term until January 1, 2027.
