Students in the London Middle School's Career Class recently explored the Manufacturing Career Cluster through a fun, hands-on learning experience. To better understand how assembly lines work, students created their own production line to assemble writing bags for kindergarten students. Each bag included a writing book the middle schoolers made, along with pencils and erasers, allowing students to see firsthand how teamwork and organization play vital roles in manufacturing.
After completing the project, the middle school students delivered the writing bags to the kindergarten classrooms and shared a short presentation about their process. Kindergarteners were excited to receive their new materials and asked questions about how the bags were made. The project gave middle school students valuable insight into the world of manufacturing while fostering leadership, collaboration, and community connection.
