Good Morning London Families,
Our district is aware of a derogatory social media post made from the account of one of our school board members in response to a member of our community. We are currently looking into the circumstances surrounding the post in greater detail and have reached out to those involved.
In 2019, London City Schools worked with students, staff, parents, and community members to establish a Portrait of a Graduate, essentially detailing the most important skills and dispositions that our graduates should be able to demonstrate. One of those attributes is being able to show respect for self and others. Clearly, the social media post in question, no matter the method in which it was posted, does not remotely come close to meeting this standard.
I am disappointed to have to reiterate, that this post does not reflect the views of our district. We are looking forward to a fantastic school year. One in which our schools and community can work together for the best interests of our students.
