A music appreciation CD project cover

At London High School, the music appreciation class recently embarked on an engaging project focusing on Romantic Era composers. Students selected a composer to research, exploring their backgrounds, musical influences, and personal experiences. This culminated in the creation of unique CD covers, featuring hand-drawn portraits on the front and imaginative titles for five songs on the back, each representing pivotal moments in the composer's life.

The project concluded with a Gallery Walk, where students presented their work in an interactive format, explaining their research and artistic choices to peers and guests. This event showcased their deep engagement with the historical and emotional context of the music, blending analytical and creative skills to foster a richer understanding of the Romantic Era. The innovative approach not only enhanced their appreciation of music history but also highlighted the transformative potential of integrating art and education.
