Substitute teachers assist in continuing meaningful instruction in the absence of the permanent educator. Substitutes must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, be properly licensed through the Ohio Department of Education, and successfully pass a BCI/FBI background check. All London City Schools substitute teachers are contracted through the Madison Champaign County ESC. For more information, please click here.

Substitute teachers are compensated $130 per day.

Substitute bus drivers are compensated $19 per hour.

The London City School District contracts with the Madison-Champaign ESC to provide classified substitutes for the following positions:

• Paraprofessionals (Teacher's Aide or 1:1 Student Aide)

• Maintenance/Custodians

Substitute classified staff members are compensated $16 per hour.
