Meet the Staff
I am Ryan Appis and I am the 7th grade Science Teacher here at London Middle School. I feel very lucky to be in a position where I can educate your students, not only teaching them scientific topics, but also providing them with insight and values that will benefit them in their futures. I love seeing the growth my 7th graders exhibit throughout the year.
Alongside my 7th grade science teacher duties, I also will be teaching a Robotics class to 8th graders that will provide them an opportunity to learn gear mechanisms, build machines, and robot coding. I also am a Co-Advisor for our STEM & Robotics Club here at the Middle School.
Outside of my career, I enjoy cooking and trying to expand my food palette , playing video games, getting outside, watching sports (Go Bucks!) and spending time with my Fiance, Leah.
My name is Jennifer Baldwin and I am the 8th-grade Intervention Specialist at London Middle School. I have worked for London City Schools for 10 years. This is my 4th year as a full-time Intervention Specialist. Teaching has been a very rewarding career for me. I enjoy being the catalyst for young minds. My favorite part of teaching is helping children overcome obstacles that they feel are impossible and watching their faces light up when they "get" a concept that they did not believe they could. In my free time, I enjoy reading, crafting, and researching my family history. I have traced my family back to the 1600s!
My name is Michael Belmont. I am going into my fourth year as the principal of London Middle School. I enjoy working with children and helping them reach for their dreams through their education. I believe every child should be valued and treated with respect. A school should empower children and assist them in making a positive contribution to our world.
My wife and I have a beautiful family of one son, one daughter, both LCS students and two 4-legged children Sophie and Lucy. London, Ohio, has been our home for the past nineteen years. During the summer I enjoy being outdoors, mainly on the water. During the summer I spend my free time going to the lake, going to the movies, traveling and shopping at Marshalls. In the winter, I love movie night at home next to the fireplace and going to Florida for Christmas.
My name is Ryan Billings and I'm a 6th grade ELA and Social Studies teacher. I'm entering my 8th year as a teacher and coach at London City Schools. I currently coach the JV Girls basketball team at London High School. I have a beautiful wife and one young rambunctious son that you will undoubtedly see on the sidelines or in the stands at Lady Raider basketball games this winter.
As for college, I graduated from the College of Charleston in beautiful South Carolina. There, I studied Mass Media Communications and Political Science. I received my Master of Arts in Teaching from Otterbein University.
Before teaching, I worked in local news in Charleston, SC for almost 6 years. I covered major breaking news stories that included a trip to Haiti after the 2010 earthquake, covering NFL wide-receiver A.J. Green as a high school standout, and meeting multiple high-profile political figures. I also spent a year in Oregon as an AmeriCorps volunteer working with at-risk youth at Hillsboro HS.
I firmly believe in the power of having a growth mindset and a positive attitude. Realizing that we are all built with the ability to learn and grow is vital to the educational process, which I stress regularly.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy watching sports, especially football, including rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes. In the summer, I enjoy golfing and vacationing to some of my favorite states including South Carolina and Maine.
I am looking forward to another great year at LMS brightening and shaping the best London has to offer.
Greetings! I am your new school counselor, Cara Boettner. I am very excited to be here in London. Before I came to London, I was a school counselor at a STEM middle school in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. I have been an educator for 11 years. Before becoming a school counselor, I was a vocal music teacher in Columbus City Schools. I went to Otterbein University for my music degrees and University of Dayton for my Master's degree, but before I went to school, I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am still a fan of the sports teams there. (Sorry not Sorry!)
My favorite thing to do is hang out with my family. I live in Hilliard with my husband Tony, my bonus sons Cody and Zack (Grade 10), my daughter Rose (Grade 8), and my son Jude (Grade 3). I love animals and hanging out in nature or on the water. I have a chihuahua named Mikey, two cats named Savage and Elsa, and a bearded dragon named Beardo. You might be surprised to find out that I am a vegetarian and that the 'o' is silent in my last name.
Some things I like to do is to listen to all kinds of music, run, bike, swim, garden and sing and play instruments. In the winter, you might even catch me snowboarding if I'm not in front of a space heater or at the movies.
My favorite thing about working with students is learning about what they like to do and what their families are like. I really care about my students like they are my own kids. I can't wait to get to know everyone at LMS!

I enjoy helping students become life long learners while reaching their full potential. When I am not in school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
Hi! My name is Tammie Dingledine. This is my 21st year as a Secretary for London City Schools. I started at the High School where I worked in the Guidance Office for 6 years. I chose to move to the Middle School when there was an opening due to retirement. I have to say Middle School students are my favorite. They are usually VERY honest and it is cool to watch them grow from 6th grade (where they are still a little “elementary”) to 8th grade (where they are on the verge of becoming young adults). Prior to working for London City Schools I worked at St. Patrick School for 5 years.
I have two children who graduated from London City Schools and now have two grandchildren attending LCS (9 grandchildren total). I enjoy being involved in their school activities as well as the MS events.
Over the years I have taken MANY students “under my wing” when life wasn’t so great to them. At one time the students called me “mom”, now they call me “grandma” and the TEACHERS call me “mom”.
I have been a 4-H Advisor in the past and am currently the MS Student Council Advisor. I have also been involved in many community events along the way.
To sum it all up, my life has been about kids, in one way or another.

My name is Joe Montoya and I am one of the Health and PE Teachers at London Middle School. This will be my first year teaching at London and sixth year teaching overall. I am looking forward to helping students explore activities and ideas that will follow them for their lifetime in the realm of health and fitness. Outside of teaching I enjoy coaching, training for road races (feel free to honk and wave if you see me running around town!), and spending time with my wife, Kristin, and baby boy, James.
