Camp Nuhop Update February 3, 2021

Class of 2026 & 2027

With great sadness, I am letting you know that because of Covid guideline restrictions, Camp Nuhop is canceled for this 20-21 school year. Any money earned or paid will stay with the Class of 2026 and go towards your child's Washington DC trip as an 8th-grader. Similarly, any money paid will remain with the Class of 2027 and go towards your child's Washington DC trip as an 8th grader. Good Afternoon,

As we go through this unprecedented time in our country, we are working to provide you with as much timely information we can regarding school and the activities associated with the school, such as Camp Nuhop.

That said, as you know Camp Nuhop is canceled for this year. We have been working closely with the directors of the camp to reschedule the trip around this same time next year for the current sixth-graders. At this time, we have a tentative date of March 22-24, 2021.

In closing, thank you for your patients, and understanding during this national crisis. Again, we are working to provide families with timely information we can regarding school and the activities associated with the school.

Camp Nuhop Dates to Remember!

WHEN: March 25 – March 27, 2020, Wednesday – Friday

COST: $180 per person (Before Class Fundraiser)

This is an all inclusive price ~ lodging, all meals and

snacks, all materials needed to complete assignments, and transportation.

DEPOSIT: $50; due by Friday, October 25, 2019

Cash, Check or Money Order. Checks and Money Orders need to be made out to Class of 2026. Payments can be made in installment fashion. All deposits go to Ms. Nelson. Receipts will be given for all monies paid toward camp expenses. NOTE: If the Deposit deadline is not met then your child will not be permitted to go. NO EXCEPTIONS. The Deposit is NONREFUNDABLE.

FUNDRAISER: *We are planning to run a candy bar fundraiser from Nov. 4 to Nov. 15. Students and parents must sign a contract of responsibility to participate in the fundraiser.

BEHAVIOR CONTRACT: Monday, January 6, 2020.

 *To be effective upon return from winter break

FINAL PAYMENT: Thursday, February 13, 2020

*A notice of the amount due will be sent home during the first week of January.

*Payments can be made in an installment fashion. However, the balance still needs to be paid by February 13, 2020.

FINAL MEETING: Thursday, February 20, 2020, 6:00 p.m. LMS cafeteria

*In addition, we will also be sending home the medical papers and other permission slips required for the trip.

ALL PAPERS: Due by February 28, 2020

*It is VERY IMPORTANT that all paperwork be turned in by this date, so that it can be checked over and finalized for camp.
