Hello London Families,
This is Superintendent Dr. Lou Kramer sending you a special announcement. Our school district is once again partnering with Nationwide Children’s Hospital to bring the Signs of Suicide or SOS program to students in 5th, 8th and 10th grades. SOS is a nationally-known and evidence based suicide prevention program that students, parents and caregivers have found to be a very positive experience. The program teaches students about this difficult topic and encourages them to seek help.
The 5th grade program will take place October 27 and 28, our 8th grade will be on November 16 and November 17, while our 10th grade is scheduled for December 7 and December 8. Students enrolled in Raider Remote will be given the opportunity to participate on site. A follow up letter will be sent home by each school principal with information about the program including an invitation to participate in parent/caregiver training in a virtual format.
