The London City School Board of Education met on Tuesday, February 11th, 2020 to hold its regular monthly meeting. At the onset of the meeting, the Board held its annual #londonpossible student recognition, honoring students who best demonstrate the mission and values of the district. These students could be high achieving academically or might have overcome struggles. They may be artists or athletes or simply students who think more about others than themselves. During the regular meeting, Ms. Blind updated the Board that the district’s annual audit was just completed and information was sent to each member. In addition, several routine business items were approved based on the Treasurer’s recommendation. 

During his superintendent’s remarks, Dr. Kramer reminded the Board about the upcoming work session scheduled for Tuesday, February 18th. The Board requested the meeting to discuss strategic planning for the district and each building. In addition, Dr. Kramer updated the Board on efforts to revise the Career Advising Policy.

Highlights of other Board action taken during the meeting:

  • Conducted a first reading of the LHS and LMS Course Guides;

  • Approved annual memberships in OHSAA for the 2020-2021 school year;

  • Approved contracts to digitize special education records and for energy efficiency monitoring;

  • Approved several routine personnel items;

  • Conducted updates for Board committees. 

Minutes of each meeting are approved the following month and then posted here. The next meeting of the Board of Education will be on March 10th beginning at 6:30 pm in room 311 of London High School.
