Donovan Cooper, a lifetime resident of London, began his duties as a member of the London City Schools Board of Education at last week’s organizational and regular meeting. Mr. Cooper graduated from London High School and attended Clark State Community College, where he graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in Law Enforcement. He is currently in his last semester of the Bachelor of Arts program in Law Enforcement at Eastern Kentucky University. Mr. Cooper has been employed with the London Police Department for 18 years. For the last six years, he has been assigned as a detective to the Madison County Major Crimes Unit. The Madison County Major Crimes Unit is responsible for investigating all felony-level cases. Mr. Cooper and his wife have three children, two of whom are currently attending London City Schools. Donovan was elected in November of 2017 and replaces Matt Congelton on the Board.
