The London City School District Board of Education met in regular session on Tuesday, December 13th. During the meeting, the Board heard an update from Technology Director Dillan Shumaker on the district’s current technology initiatives. You can view Dillan’s creative presentation here. In addition, the Board approved a proposal by a community group to create Carol’s Corner in memory of the late, longtime LES Principal Carol Daniels. In addition, the Board heard an update from Treasure Trevor Gummere that the district is currently trending on track for appropriations for the year, and an update from Superintendent Lou Kramer on the district’s STEM initiatives. You can learn more about what the district is doing with STEM here.
Finally, a few highlights of other Board action included:
Approved the following revised policies: 5630.01, 8210, 8310, 8320, 8330, 8452, and 9270. These will be uploaded to the district’s policy portal within the next month. You can access all district policies here.
Established January 9th, 2018 as the date for the Board’s organizational and January regular meeting. The meeting will begin at 6:30 pm and be held in room 311 of London High School.
Formally approved the go ahead to establish “Carol’s Corner” in honor of Carol Daniels.
Approved a service agreement with Plug Smart for one year in order to continue energy management and remote monitoring services.
