Earlier Thursday evening several students and parents from London Middle School reported to the London Police Department an alleged conversation overhead at the school, which included a threat of violence at LMS. Upon receiving the report, the police department with the assistance of the school administration investigated the situation and determined that the situation did not constitute a credible threat to our school.
Both the district and the department are aware of the anxiousness and speculation circulating on social media. In order to assist in calming some of these fears, this message was sent to LMS parents late Thursday evening by the school’s automated calling system. Both the London City Schools and the London Police Department will continue to implement additional safety measures at our schools to ensure a productive school day on Friday.
