The London City School District met in regular session on Tuesday, August 7th, 2018. Given the time of the year, Board action was rather light.
A few highlights of Board discussion included:

During his superintendent remarks, District Superintendent, Lou Kramer, provided the Board an update on a preparations for the start of the school year and reminded the Board of upcoming event dates. In addition, Dr. Kramer asked for Board input on shared values that the district has work to develop over the course of the summer. These values, which are meant to serve as a playbook for carrying out the district’s strategic plan include:
We deal in hope.
We accept the responsibility we have to serve our community and do so in a positive and optimistic manner.
Happy, open, passionate, enthusiastic students, staff, and stakeholders.
We, not me.
We understand and celebrate the diversity and value that each person brings to our organization.
Leaders who serve.
Staff who show empathy.
Students who care.
We do things on purpose.
We believe in disciplined behavior over default behavior.
Sustained individual and organizational growth.
Be prepared to pivot.
We believe problems, if solved correctly, are in fact, opportunities to be awesome.
Creative problem-solvers who posses grit.
