The London City School District recently launched a new district website in an effort to better highlight the accomplishments of students and improve communication and collaboration with the community. The launch is the first step in improving the district’s web presence, convenience, and accessibility for students, parents, and others interesting in learning more about the district.
The website, which focuses on providing a more visually appealing format, also integrates the district’s social media efforts. Other highlights of the new site include school and district calendars, which are more promptly displayed, and more easily assessable staff contact information. Both aspects were common requests from parents and community members. While the site has launched, it can be viewed as a work in progress. Future upgrades for the site will include a parent portal, which will house a “one stop shop” for parents and include access to lunch accounts, student grades, and receive notices regarding student fees. You can view the upgraded site at the same web address: www.london.k12.oh.us.
It is hoped that by launching the new site will help improve the “user experience” of the district and its schools. This has been a priority during the 2015-2016 school year. Other district priorities include preparing students for success, raising student achievement and growth, and broadening opportunities for all students.
