LCS Welcomes New Leaders for the Start of the 2017-2018 School Year
The London City School District is pleased to welcome two new leaders, Tabath Wilburn and James Stutzman, to the district for the 2017 - 2018 school year. Both administrators were selected by stakeholder committees and bring a variety of experiences to assist our students and lead our schools. Tabatha Wilburn was appointed London Elementary Principal in late June. Tabatha recently served as the building principal of Park Avenue Elementary School in Mount Gilead. Because of budget cuts during the second semester of this past school year, Tabatha served as the only administrator for a building of 680 students and 75 staff members. During the hiring process, it was apparent that she demonstrated the initiative, knowledge, and relationship focus needed for our school to be successful. In early July, James Stutzman was named as our new LMS assistant principal. James comes to London by way of New Lexington High School, where he most recently served as the high school principal. During his career, James has served in a variety of educational roles including Dean of Students, Athletic Director, and PE/Health teacher and has experience at both the middle school and high school levels. The hiring committee felt James' experience and demeanor would be a significant asset at LMS.
