London Set to Join Central Buckeye Conference in the Fall of 2018, Football in the Fall of 2019

Over the course of this past spring and summer, research, evaluation, and decisions took place in regards to our status in the Mid-State League (MSL). Throughout this process, communication took place between administrators, coaches, community members, other schools’ administrators, and both the MSL and the Central Buckeye Conference (CBC) commissioners. With the information gathered from those discussions and the research that was done, we found it appropriate and in the best interest of our school, community, and most importantly our students to move to the CBC. This move was contingent on having a 2nd school to join with us and that school is North Union. The decision was finalized when the school board took action to approve our transfer from the MSL to the CBC at the July board meeting.

Therefore, we will be joining the CBC for all sports but football in the fall of 2018. Football will join the CBC in the fall of 2019. We will be part of the Kenton Trail Division with Bellefontaine, Jonathan Alder, Kenton Ridge, Shawnee, and Tecumseh. The Mad River Division will consist of Benjamin Logan, Graham, Indian Lake, North Union, Northwestern, and Urbana. Being in a league with schools similar to us will allow us the opportunity to create better rivalries and raise the atmosphere at our sporting events. Along with this, we will be working with the CBC to create some competitions and events amongst the schools outside of athletics. If you would like to know more about the CBC, please check out their website at www.cbcsportsonline.com.
