Educators Prepped to Bring their Talents to LCS
Cara Boettner has been named the new London Middle School Counselor. Cara earned two      Bachelor Degrees in Music and Music Education from Otterbein University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Dayton. Cara most recently served as a counselor at Reynoldsburg’s Baldwin Middle School.

Katie Miller will assume High School Counselor duties after a 7 year stint in the same position at Urbana City Schools. She received both her Bachelor’s Degree in Education (7-12 Social Studies) and a Masters Degree in School Counseling from Kent State University. Katie and her family reside in London. 

Elizabeth Landingham will begin the 2019-2020 school year teaching 7th grade English. Elizabeth has a variety of teaching experiences including in rural Mississippi and most recently at the Columbus Performance Academy. She holds degrees from both the University of Mississippi and Southern New Hampshire University. 

Ben Schneider will assist LHS students learning the wonders of mathematics this fall. Originally from Ohio, Ben is relocating back home after several years teaching in Tennessee. Ben has a varied and unique career path. He is a graduate of the prestigious Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University and worked in journalism before pursuing a passion for teaching math. Ben earned his Master’s Degree in Math Education from OU.

Jennifer Brown will join the staff of LMS as an 8th grade English teacher after success as a teacher and Department Chair for West Carrollton Schools outside of Dayton. Jennifer earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio University and separate Master’s Degrees from Wright State and Walden University. 

Kelsey Pinney brings several years of teaching experience and a history of raising student achievement to the staff of London Middle School. Kelsey previously taught in the Newark City Schools east of Columbus. Kelsey holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Middle Childhood Education from The Ohio State University and a Master’s Degree in Education from Mount Vernon Nazarene University.

Familiar Faces in New Places…

Mrs. Peart, who has taught 2nd grade for a number of years, will be transferring to 3rd grade;
Mrs. Webb will be moving from 3rd grade to 4th grade;
Mrs. O’Neil will bump from Kindergarten to a reading specialist position;
Mrs. Melvin will stay at LMS and move to a 6th grade special education resource room assignment;
Mrs. Davis will expand her media and research expertise at LHS and will help lead each of the district’s media centers; and, 
Mrs. Congelton will teach 8th grade English Language Arts this year.
