Last September, London Elementary School celebrated its first Lemonade Day in honor of the school’s long time principal, the late Carol Daniels. Innovation doesn’t happen all by itself. Instead, it’s made. In order to support problem-based learning, creativity, and to promote 21st century skills, LCS is rethinking the use of media centers in each school. Opposing school uniforms may look a bit different this fall as the London Red Raiders officially join the Central Buckeye Conference. By moving to the CBC, London aligns itself with similar size schools and will avoid many of the travel challenges associated with Metro Columbus. The switch also means a league with greater stability after years of turmoil as a member of the Ohio Division of the Mid States League. Starting with this fall’s sports season, all middle school and high school athletic teams will be competing in the CBC except for middle school and high school football.
