The London FFA soil team participated in the district competition last Thursday, the 27th of September. Out of 21 teams participating in the Career Development Event, London received fifth overall and qualified for the state competition. Cade Smith was ranked tenth individually in the district, out of 107 contestants. Luke Peart placed twelth, Nick Berchtold 25th, and Brooks Barber was rated 27th. During the contest, FFA members evaluate soil characteristics, such as structures,  textures, and limitations, then determine what best management practices are necessary for the selected land.
