The London City School Board of Education met on Tuesday, January 8th for its organizational meeting and first regular meeting of 2018. During the organizational meeting, the Board elected Darryl Brown and Jonathan Stahl to remain as President and Vice President, respectively, for 2019. The Board established the following regular meeting dates for 2019: January 8th, February 12th, March 12th, April 9th, May 14th, June 25th, July 9th, August 6th, September 10th, October 8th, November 5th, and December 10th. On December 19th , 2018, Brennan Spiess signed his National Letter of Intent to attend Bowling Green State University and to play football for the Falcons. Brennan helped lead the Red Raiders to an 11-2 record and a regional final in the state playoffs. For his efforts, he received the following recognitions as a running back: 1st Team All-Mid-State League, 1st Team All-Central District Division IV, and 2nd Team All-Ohio Division IV. On December 12th, 2018, Malorie Colwell and Lily Marriott declared their commitment to further their education and athletic careers. Malorie will be attending the University of Rio Grande to play volleyball, and Lily Marriott will be attending Muskingum University to play softball. [...click for more]

On December 5th, LCS took an hour to celebrate computer science week and participate in the code.org’s hour of code. Created to raise awareness and breakdown barriers surrounding computer science fields, the Hour of Code has grown to an annual event involving tens of millions of students around the world.
