London High School and Staples Teaming Up to Provide Seniors and Grads Employment Options

Staples and London High School met on March 7th to discuss ways the office supply chain company and LHS could partner with each other to create opportunities for students who are looking to better themselves while in high school or college.

Josh Shuff, Region 1 Vice President, and Robyn Kemp, Talent Acquisition Manager at the London distribution center, gave LHS Principal, Michael Browning, a tour of the London facility and answered questions on how Staples and LHS could benefit from a partnership.

One of my not so subtle guiding principles about cancelling school is when, while checking the roads, I get stuck. Our sudden early morning cloudburst this week, which dropped an inch of snow an hour for several hours, quickly reminded me of this fact firsthand.

Our most recent cancellation was our 5th cancelled day of instruction this year. We have also delayed school 5 times so far. While we are well above the state minimum number of hours of instruction, our approved district academic calendar calls for a specific protocol for future cancellations. If the district had to cancel additional days of school, we would make up those hours of instruction in the following ways:

London High School graduate Jacob Clark selected to pitch business idea for prestigious BGSU College of Business Hatch Program

The BGSU College of Business is proud to announce that Jacob Clark, a 2013 graduate of London High School has been selected as a 2019 Hatchling. The Hatch®, modeled after the ABC hit TV show “Shark Tank”, features student entrepreneurs (Hatchlings) giving a live pitch of their business idea to a panel of BGSU alumni investors. Prior to the Hatch, each Hatchling will work for eleven weeks with an accomplished BGSU alumni mentor to create a business presentation to pitch to investors at The Hatch®, Thursday, April 11, in front of a live audience of 3,000 at BGSU’s Stroh Center. The Hatch is free and open to the public. The Hatch® is also streamed live to Hatch Parties around the region and in several countries. More +
